Chief Executive Officer

Bruce Jones, a seasoned senior living and health care executive, has served as chief executive officer of Vicar’s Landing Senior Services since 2012. Prior to this, he led the Health Services Department at Vicar’s Landing, a renowned retirement community in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Under his leadership, Vicar’s Landing successfully achieved CARF-CCAC accreditation and multiple Governor’s Gold Seal Awards of excellence in long-term care. 

Bruce’s expertise extends well beyond senior living. He has also served as the administrator and president of a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, where he significantly improved financial standing and regulatory compliance.

His unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all is evident in his active involvement in community organizations, including being past chairman of the Brooks College of Health Dean’s Council at the University of North Florida and being a member of the board of the St. Johns County Council on Aging and the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach. He was also recently elected to the board of directors of the Ponte Vedra Beach branch of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce.

His leadership roles in professional organizations further demonstrate Bruce’s dedication to excellence. He is a past president and treasurer of the Florida Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators board of directors. Bruce has also served as chairman of the board of trustees of LeadingAge Southeast and was also chairman of the education and governance committee and a member of the CCRC public policy committee. He is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators and holds a Florida Nursing Home Administrator license, is a licensed preceptor, and has completed the Core Assisted Living Certification training.

With a Master of Business Administration from Rollins College and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Central Florida, Bruce has a strong foundation in health care and business management. His leadership, expertise, and commitment to quality care make him a valuable asset to Vicar’s Landing and the senior living community.

He and his wife, Jessica, have two children, Hannah and D.B.
